Professor Park’s laboratory focuses on pharmacoepidemiology, clinical epidemiology, and evidence-based medicine. Pharmacoepidemiology is a study of effects and the utilization of drugs in the large population. His laboratory is active in many fields including study design/statistical modeling, pharmacovigilance using data-mining, post-marketing surveillance, drug utilization review, vaccine safety, and risk management. He is also interested in establishing evidence-based clinical preventive medicine (EBCPM) and high quality Institutional Review Board system in Korea. Professor Park is the Director of the Medical Research Collaborating Center which was established by him in 2004 to improve the quality of medical research at Seoul National University College of Medicine and Seoul National University Hospital.
