Our group is carrying on both clinical and basic science researches in the field of thoracic surgery for various benign and malignant thoracic diseases. Based on a complete patient database and a well-controlled tissue repository, we are able to perform studies where the clinic and bench can be connected comprehensively. Two major subjects of our research interests include DNA methylation and EGFR mutation. Currently, we are carrying on a series of experiment to detect tumor-origin DNA from the serum by means of various enrichment techniques targeting DNA methylation as well as EGFR mutation.
